About World of Tanks

World of Tanks is a massively multiplayer tank combat game by developer Wargaming.net. The game features mostly World War II era tanks and armoured combat vehicles. The game was released in 2010 for the PC. It has since been ported to the PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. A mobile version of the game know as World of Tanks Blitz is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.

In the game players select a tank or armoured vehicle to control and are then placed onto a random battle map with other online players. Tank and vehicle movement and firing is performed with keyboard and mouse with controls similar to that of a first person shooter.

Vehicles can be custom to player’s preference. This includes cosmetic changes to modify the look as well as vehicle upgrades to make the vehicle more powerful. These include light, medium, heavy and battle tanks, tank destroyers and self-propelled guns. In total there are nearly 500 different tanks to choose from (including premium tanks) from 11 different nations.

World of Tanks features six different game modes/battles; Ramdom, team-training, tank company battles, team battles, stronghold battles and special.
